Moodboard: In a nutshell

Moodboard: In a nutshell

Don’t know about you but sometimes I find inspiration in the smallest things, recently I bought pair of long tortoiseshell earrings which make me feel very elegant, thanks Topshop.

This got me thinking about tortoiseshell and how it can look elegant in your home. I’ve pulled together this moodboard, using this material and focusing on making your hallway the star attraction.

Moodboard: In a nutshell

Your Hallway

Tortoiseshell – as your base

Use either a console table or a nest of tables as your base for this look, you can add other smaller elements such as a picture frame or a tray which can be very helpful for your house-keys.

A chair
If you have a larger hallway, why not add a chair. This gorgeous green chair will add even more elegance to your space.

Accessories
I’ve suggested using turquoise as an accent colour and even though we all have mobiles, I thought it would be fun to add a retro telephone or you could add a glass turquoise vase to this look.

Not necessary an accessory but perhaps you have a window in your hallway, why not add have some green chevon curtains or blinds if you find that too much.

I love a lamp in a hallway, it can add a nice atmosphere and finish the above look, I’ve suggested a simple brass lamp.
