Moodboard: Into the blue

Moodboard: Into the blue

Dreaming of all things blue at the moment, let’s dive together for inspiration with my new moodboard: into the blue. Blue and white are great colours for a dining room even if you use your dining room everyday or now and again, it’s a great colour duo. Plus showing you how to combine modern and classy items, will have you friends and family coming over all the time for tea.

Moodboard: into the blue

Your dining room

Walls – Sanderson wallpaper
I grew up with this as fabric and I still love it, it’s a classic pattern which would look great in lots of places. I like the idea of this as a wallpaper and you could use it for all four walls of your dining room or choose just one feature wall.  Just balance the look with white doors and skirting boards.

Big tables are great and I loved the idea of introducing a modern piece here with a large oval shape. This table also has a white marble effect which is subtle but gives the room some more texture.

Let’s add some blue and chairs are a great way of adding a punch of colour without overwhelming the colour scheme. These chairs are fabulous, as they have a modern look and the design with it’s almost cut out feature let’s the textures of everything else shine through.

Plates and china don’t need to be just white, to add a bit of warmth, why not add a white plate with a gold rim. This is quite a classy look and needed to balance the modern table and chairs.

When you have friends over, add some more warmth with this gold candelabra, a lovely compliment to the china and will be a great talking point over dinner.
